The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at MRIT, affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, is approved by AICTE and recognized by the Government of Karnataka. This two-year postgraduate program is designed to develop the skills needed for successful careers in business and management.

Our MBA program encompasses diverse subjects including accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, and strategy. The curriculum features case studies, group projects, and internships to offer practical experience and equip students for real-world business challenges. By fostering quality education and leadership development, we empower students to push boundaries and make a significant impact.

Students joining the MBA department have access to a variety of learning opportunities, including core specialization programs in Human Resource Management, Finance, and Marketing. The department is well-supported by extensive computer and library resources. Unique offerings include placement training, interactions with industry experts, participation in conferences, academic group activities, outbound training, and personalized campus recruitment support for each student.

HOD’s Profile

Mr. Avinash M A, an experienced finance professional with over 15 years of extensive knowledge, is currently heading the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Department at MRIT. He has served various institutions and corporate entities throughout his career.

Before joining MRIT, he was the Project Program Manager at Prixgen Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., an ERP implementation and development company in Mysore. He also served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, Mysore, and as an Academic Student Counselor at the IGNOU, Learner Support Centre, Mysore.

He holds an MBA with a specialization in Finance and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the University of Mysore. His core skills include teaching, operations and project management, team building and development, and enterprise resource planning. He is also known for his flexibility and adaptability.

He is National Eligibility Test (NET) qualified in Management from CBSE, New Delhi, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Management Science from the University of Mysore. His research articles have been published and presented in several journals, both nationally and internationally.
